Bihar NEET UG Counselling Process (State Quota)

The selection and admission process for UGMAC-2026 will adhere to the updated rules of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The process is outlined as follows:

Merit List and Counselling Rounds:

The merit list for UGMAC-2026 will be based on NEET (UG)-2026 scores as provided by the Department of Health, Government of Bihar. There will be four rounds of counselling, All rounds of counselling will be conducted online. Candidates who did not register or submit their application form before Round 1 can do so in Round 3.

Choice Filling

Candidates must fill their choices online based on the merit list released by BCECEB. The choice-filling window will remain open as per the official schedule mentioned in the advertisement.

Round 1 – Document Verification & Admission

Round 2 – Document Verification & Admission

For candidates who get an upgraded seat in Round 2:

• They must collect original documents from the Round 1 centre
• Then report to the Round 2 centre for fresh verification and admission

Free Exit Rule

Candidates who:

• Did not report for document verification in Round 1
• Or opted for free exit

Further Rounds

• Candidates who join a seat in Round 2 are not eligible for further counselling rounds
• Candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1 or chose free exit can participate in Round 2
• The security deposit will be refunded to candidates who:
  • Do not get a seat in Round 1 or Round 2
  • Or successfully join a seat

Seat Allotment Conditions

• If a candidate opts for upgradation and retains their Round 1 seat in Round 2, they cannot vacate the seat
• If a seat is cancelled due to document discrepancies, the candidate becomes eligible for fresh choice filling in Round 2
• Candidates who join a seat in Round 2 cannot leave or vacate it
