Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical colleges across the state. The counselling process is completely online and strictly based on NEET UG rank, reservation policies, local area eligibility, and candidate preferences.
Unlike many other states, Telangana counselling follows a dual admission system, where seats are divided into two completely separate categories — Government (Competent Authority) Quota and Management Quota (including NRI seats). These two pathways have different eligibility rules, fee structures, and admission processes, making it essential for candidates to clearly understand both before applying.
The overall counselling process includes online registration, document verification, merit list publication, web options (choice filling), seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted college. Seat allotment is done based on multiple factors such as NEET rank, category, local status, and choice preference.
